He graduated from Kyung Hee University College of Medicine. He completed his internship at Kyung Hee Medical Center and his internal medicine residency at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital. He later served as a Clinical Instructor in Gastroenterology at Chung-Ang University Hospital. He is a full member of the Korean Association of Internal Medicine and a life member of the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
