Dr. Uğur Gültekinler’s approach to smile correction is built around prosthetic planning—one case he designed aimed to correct an underbite without moving the jaw. As a specialist at the clinic, he co-founded Smile Dental with Dr. Dt. Özkan Özkaynak and has been working at Smile Dental Turkey since 2006. His work combines cosmetic dentistry with a structured restorative plan, using digital smile design technology to translate patient goals into crown and bridge outcomes. In an underbite and crossbite case, the treatment plan focused on “camouflaging” the skeletal issue by rebuilding the teeth rather than shifting the jaw. The plan included gum contouring on the upper jaw to create a symmetrical foundation and the placement of 26 porcelain dental crowns—with 13 upper crowns angled forward and 13 lower crowns re-angled inward to create a new, correct bite prosthetically. That same case also started with removing decay and placing 4 white fillings. For full-arch implant rehabilitation, he contributes to the restorative phase of All-on-6 treatments. In one severe bone loss case, he took final impressions and designed two 12-unit full-arch dental bridges (a total of 24 metal-porcelain crowns) that were permanently attached to 12 integrated implants. This phase is where aesthetics, fit, and bite feel come together after the implants heal.
