Formazione accademica
Specialization in Epilepsy and Neurophysiology
Dr. Ming evaluates resistant epilepsy before surgery. He uses neuroendoscopic methods and electrical monitoring to localize epileptic foci. The doctor introduced the use of propofol for the Wada test in China. This test helps determine which side of the brain controls language and memory.
He also applies cortical electrical stimulation and high-frequency oscillations. These methods improve surgical safety and treatment efficiency. This approach allows for more precise removal of brain tissue causing seizures. He also treats various neurological conditions beyond epilepsy.
Conditions Treated
- Epilepsy in adults and children
- Movement and sleep disorders
- Neuralgia and peripheral paralysis
- Neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s
- Brain tumors and pituitary adenomas
Procedures Performed
- Surgical and medical treatment of epilepsy
- Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
- Vagus nerve stimulation
- Gamma Knife and stereotaxic radiosurgery
- Neurological rehabilitation and brain therapy
Education and International Training
- Doctor of Medical Sciences, China
- Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Texas, USA
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Harvard University, USA
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Dartmouth College, USA
- Research and development training, Peking University Hospital
Scientific Work and Publications
Dr. Ming has authored over 50 scientific articles. Around 30 of these appear in international journals. He has contributed to several medical monographs. These include Epilepsy Surgery (2006) and Clinical Guidelines for Epilepsy (2006).
He also co-authored Aphasia (2006) and Clinical Diagnostic Guidelines: Section on Epilepsy (2007). His other works include Modern Clinical Electroencephalography (2009) and Treatment of Epilepsy (2010). Additionally, he wrote for Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (2014). The doctor lectured at the State University of New York and UCLA.
