Saban Sec

Dr. Saban Sec is a medical oncologist. He is the Specialist Physicians Representative for the Turkish Medical Oncology Association. Dr. Sec treats malignancies including breast, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers. He also treats rare tumors. He currently practices at Valued Med Hub Hospitals in Istanbul.

Clinical Specialization

Dr. Sec treats solid tumors and rare oncological conditions. He provides treatment plans for patients with stage 2 through stage 4 cancers. His interests include:

Research and Academic Contributions

Dr. Sec conducts clinical research on cancer prognosis and treatment efficacy. He has participated in multicenter studies and analyzed large patient cohorts. His work includes a study of 138 patients with HER2-positive metastatic gastric cancer. He has published research in journals such as Scientific Reports and the European Journal of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sec also researched the prognostic significance of free T4 and T3 levels in non-thyroidal illness syndrome. He studied how diabetes and fasting plasma glucose affect breast cancer treatment. Furthermore, he investigated the effect of body mass index on colorectal cancer recurrence. He analyzed the efficacy of regorafenib compared to 5-fluorouracil for metastatic colorectal cancer.
