Professor of Thoracic Surgery

Assoc. Prof. Ayşe İrem Yasin, M.D., is a medical oncologist who specializes in solid tumors. Her clinical focus includes breast, lung, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and urologic cancers. She also treats brain and other CNS tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, head and neck cancers, adenocarcinomas, melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and cancers of unknown primary. She practices at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital (2025–present). She previously worked at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital (2023–2025).

She completed a Medical Oncology fellowship at Bezmialem Vakıf University (2019–2022). This followed an Internal Medicine residency at the same institution (2012–2016). Dr. Muhammed Mustafa Atci is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at İstinye University, Liv Hospital Topkapı (2025–present). He previously served as Associate Professor and Education Coordinator at Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital (2023–2025). He was also a Medical Oncologist there (2018–2021).

He has been a member of ASCO and the Turkish Society of Medical Oncology since 2018. He is the author or co-author of 19 peer-reviewed international papers on colon, breast, gastric, pancreatic, lung, thyroid, sarcoma, and colorectal cancers.

Notable works include a multicentre study on stage IIB colon cancer survival (Journal of Chemotherapy). He also studied the De Ritis ratio for lung metastasis in testicular cancer (Current Urology). His prognostic studies used PET/CT, MSI, lymph node ratio, and metabolic tumor volume.

Dr. Serap Kaya is a medical oncologist with a specialization in Medical Oncology from Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine. She has worked at several leading hospitals, including Oltu State Hospital, Kocaeli State Hospital, Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital, and Medistate Kavacik Hospital. Dr. Kaya has made important contributions to cancer care at these institutions.

She is known for her evidence-based approach and focus on patient outcomes. Dr. Kaya has managed many complex oncology cases. She holds accreditation from top Turkish medical faculties. Dr. Adnan Sayar is a leading thoracic surgeon in Turkey. He has over 40 years of medical experience and more than 30 years in thoracic surgery. He is known for his work in minimally invasive thoracoscopic and robotic procedures. These techniques have helped improve patient recovery and outcomes for chest diseases.

Dr. Sayar received international training at top centers, including Kyoto University and the Karolinska Institute. He is a key figure in lung transplantation and serves on Turkey’s Ministry of Health Lung Transplantation Scientific Committee. He also holds the FETCS certification from the European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Associate Professor Dr. Emrah Eraslan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Kayihan Engin is a Radiation Oncologist. He earned his medical degree from Uludağ University Medical College in 1983. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Center of Oncology & Nuclear Medicine in Istanbul in 1990. From 1990 to 1994, he pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in Thermoradiotherapy at Thomas Jefferson University in the USA.

Dr. Engin has held key academic and leadership roles. He served as Professor, Chairman, and Faculty Accreditation Coordinator at Uludağ University Medical College from 1991 to 2005. He was also Professor and Director at Anadolu Medical Center between 2004 and 2017. Since 2017, he has led the Oncological Sciences departments at Ceylan International and Medicana Bursa Hospitals. Dr. Engin is known for his work in improving cancer treatment and medical education standards in Turkey.
