Prof. Dr. Şebnem İzmir Güner was born in 1970 in Istanbul and took her first steps in her medical career at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Successfully completing her undergraduate and medical education here between 1987-1993, Güner received her internal medicine specialty training at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine from 1995 to 2000. Between 2016-2018, Prof. Dr. Güner took on similar roles at Şişli Kolon International Hospital, where she was also the founder and responsible physician of the Hematology Clinic, Therapeutic Apheresis, and Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Center. Güner, who became an associate professor in 2017, obtained her professorship title in 2023. Between 2019-2024, she worked at Memorial Şişli Hospital in the Hematology Clinic, Therapeutic Apheresis, and Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation Center.
