After completing his residency training at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Atamer worked as a specialist physician at the Social Insurance Institution (SSK) Diyarbakır Hospital. He then continued to work as a specialist physician at Diyarbakır Training and Research Hospital.

In 2008, he completed his upper specialization at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic and in the same year, he was named Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. Attivo nel campo accademico come docente e tutor, contribuendo all'educazione medica post-laurea e universitaria. Membro di diverse società professionali, tra cui la Società Israeliana di Gastroenterologia e Nutrizione Pediatrica e la Società Europea di Gastroenterologia, Epatologia e Nutrizione Pediatrica.<\/p>
