Dr. Selime Aydogdu is a specialist in pediatric hematology and oncology. She is known for her work in improving early cancer detection in children. Dr. Aydogdu has given many presentations and led discussions on recognizing early cancer symptoms. Her efforts have raised awareness in her field.

Her work has helped achieve better diagnostic results and higher survival rates for children. Dr. Aydogdu is dedicated to education and advocacy. She is a respected member of the pediatric oncology community.

Dr. Almog Ben-Yaacov is an Attending Surgeon in the Department of General and Oncological Surgery (Surgery C) at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). His clinical focus includes gastric cancer, sarcoma, and complex colorectal malignancies. Since 2018, he has performed more than 200 HIPEC procedures.

MD, Semmelweis University, 2006, with honors. Training in cardiothoracic surgery at Sheba Medical Center. Residency in general surgery at Montefiore (Albert Einstein) and at Rabin (Beilinson). Board-certified in General Surgery and in Surgical Oncology.

Advanced training includes ESSO-certified HIPEC in Hamburg. Microwave liver ablation in Reims. NanoKnife at King’s College London. Advanced surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering (2019). His publications cover CRS+HIPEC outcomes and Hartmann’s reversal.

Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

His work centers on hereditary NET syndromes. He is affiliated with the NIH in MEN1 research. He serves on an international VHL expert panel and helped write VHL management guidelines. He is the primary contact at Sheba’s multidisciplinary VHL clinic.

He leads the Endocrine Oncology Bioinformatics Lab. He collaborates with international teams, including the Weizmann Institute. He provides advanced NET care, including PRRT.

He earned his MD from the Hebrew University–Hadassah. He completed a residency at Assaf HaRofeh, an endocrinology fellowship at Rabin, and training at the NIH. He is board-certified in Endocrinology. He is a member of the Israeli Society of Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society, and the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed papers, including in JAMA, Gastroenterology, and Radiology.

Dr. Yuri Goldes is a general surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He specializes in upper gastrointestinal and oncologic surgery. He is Deputy Director of the Department of General Surgery and Transplantation at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv. He also leads the Upper GI Surgery Unit. He was named to Forbes Israel’s Best Doctors in 2025. He is ranked among Israel’s Best Gastrointestinal Surgeons by Forbes. In 2019, he received the Israeli Ministry of Health “Best Doctor of the Year” award.

He is an expert in advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He treats diaphragmatic hernia, achalasia, GERD, and gallbladder disease. He also performs oncologic surgery for pancreatic, gastric, and esophageal cancers. He uses laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

He pioneered some of Israel’s first robotic oncologic resections of the stomach and pancreas. Dr. Alon Friedlander, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and a spine and scoliosis specialist for adults and children. He is the Director of the Orthopedic Department at Sheba Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Tel Aviv University. He is listed by Forbes among Israel’s Top Doctors.

Assoc. Prof. Ozdogan, M.D., Ph.D., completed his education at Yeditepe University Health Sciences Institute in the Molecular Medicine Doctorate Program under Prof. Dr. Turgay İsbir, and he also studied at Saint Louis University in Arkansas, USA, with Prof. Dr. M. Prof. Dr. Sezer Sağlam is a medical oncologist at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital. He specializes in gastrointestinal and breast cancers. He has contributed to cancer care through research, especially with his study on the best timing for surgery after neoadjuvant therapy in rectal cancer. This work has influenced global treatment protocols.

Dr. Sağlam has led clinical trials in targeted therapies and precision medicine. Dr. Sema Karakas specializes in gynecologic oncology surgery. She also performs minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and V-NOTES (scarless) techniques.

She offers V-NOTES hysterectomy and cyst removal. She performs surgery for uterine cancer and tubal ligation. She provides a full range of laparoscopic gynecologic procedures. Dr. Rahib Hasanov is a medical oncologist. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1999–2005). He completed an internal medicine residency (2009–2013) and a medical oncology fellowship at Marmara University (2015–2018). He also completed an observership at Houston Methodist Hospital (2006–2007).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan BABACAN completed his undergraduate, specialty and sub-specialty education at GATA Military Medical Faculty/Ankara. After becoming a specialist in Pediatrics, he worked in the field of Social Pediatrics for two years, where Healthy Baby Monitoring and vaccine follow-up were carried out. Then, she completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and continued her studies in the field of pediatric blood and cancer diseases. In addition to the treatment of children suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors and other blood diseases, she has been working in the Bone Marrow Transplantation (Transplant) Unit for 13 years in Allogeneic (unrelated and intrafamilial), Autologous (from the patient himself) and Haploidentical (partially HLA compatible) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In 2018, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Science/Art.
