Dr. Hayrettin Kesmezacar is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. He joined the hospital in 2013 and holds a current appointment from 2024. Between 1993 and 1994, he worked as an assistant professor at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in Diyarbakır, Turkey. Later, he worked as the Head of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Surgery Department at American Hospital. In 1999, he studied microsurgery at Cleveland Medical Center.
He worked as a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology Microsurgery in many private hospitals in Istanbul. Between 2006-2007, he worked as a Hand and Microsurgery Specialist at Columbia University School of Medicine. In 2008, he became an associate professor of orthopedics at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2009 and 2015, he worked as Chief of Orthopedics at Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Hospital and he trained many Assistant Specialists. He became Professor in 2016.
