"I graduated from medical school in 2010 and specialized in cardiovascular surgery. My training was built on microvascular anastomoses—suturing blood vessels under a microscope where a 0.1-millimeter error could end a life. I loved the discipline. I loved the pressure. But I slowly noticed something that unsettled me: in the chaos of emergency surgery and intensive care, the patient rarely remembers your face.
