Doctor Pongwat Polpong

With over 15 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, Dr. Pongwat Polpong stands at the forefront of neurosurgery (Bones & Spine) and regenerative medicine in Thailand. He received his training from leading institutions both locally and internationally, including Siriraj Hospital, the Neurological Institute of Thailand, and the International Neuroscience Institute in Germany.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Pongwat has authored numerous research papers in the fields of neurosurgery, parasitology, spine disorders, and brain conditions. Notable works include studies on percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy, cerebral cysticercosis, spinal cord injury, and cerebrovascular disorders, helping advance medical knowledge both in Thailand and abroad.

Among his surgical milestones, Dr. Pongwat successfully led Bangkok Hospital Chanthaburi’s first endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery, a groundbreaking minimally invasive brain procedure that removes pituitary tumors through the nasal passage, significantly reducing recovery time and surgical risks.
