Professor Cechetmeier is the brilliant surgeon and specialist in eye surgery. Professional activity: 

• 1984: Doctorate at the University of Vienna 

• 1989: Ius Practicandi (license to practice as a general practitioner) 

• Ambulance doctor 

• Practical ophthalmological measures: 

• Assistant at the School of Ophthalmology with Professor Stangler-Schrrott 

• Practice in special clinics for diabetic retinopathy (Professor Radda) 

• Macular Diseases (Professor Binder) 

• 1992 - 1998: assistant in the team of Professor Scorpik 

• 1999 - 2000: Senior Consultant, Outpatient Unit

• 1999: Senior Physician, Head of the Eye Clinic 

• Since 1999: Senior surgeon in the clinic. 

• Head of the outpatient clinic of eye tumors 

• Development and research of possible applications of stereotactic radiation therapy (Gamma Knife, LINAC) for the treatment of malignant choroid tumors. 

• About 100 scientific papers in specialized journals and books, in particular in the field of ophthalmic oncology, as well as collagen structures of the cornea, new anesthetic procedures in cataract surgery, work on new intraocular lenses, and strabismus in children.

• Member of numerous national and international specialized societies and commissions, such as the ÖOG Refraction Commission Professor Cechetmeier himself was in the role of the patient, having undergone refractive surgery. Moreover, he successfully operated on his daughter, his brother and other family members.
