La dottoressa Severine Iborra è il capo del reparto di ginecologia e ostetricia presso il Städtisches Klinikum Solingen. Le sue responsabilità comprendono l'ostetricia, la sala parto, il reparto neonatale e la ginecologia. La dottoressa Severine Iborra è originaria della Francia. Ha iniziato a studiare medicina presso l'Università di Lione e poi si è trasferita all'Università Albert-Ludwig di Friburgo, dove ha ottenuto la licenza medica nel 2007. Nel 2008 ha conseguito il dottorato per ricerche sperimentali nel campo dell'oncologia molecolare. Presso la Clinica di Ginecologia e Ostetricia sotto la direzione del professor dottor E. Stickeler, la dottoressa Iborra ha diretto il reparto ostetrico dal 2017 al 2019. Da dicembre 2017 si è occupata dell'organizzazione della formazione nel reparto e nell'ottobre 2019 è diventata medico capo amministrativo e medico capo del personale della clinica, mantenendo questa posizione fino al trasferimento a Solingen.

Oltre al suo lavoro scientifico, con numerose pubblicazioni e presentazioni a grandi conferenze ginecologiche, la dottoressa Iborra ha approfondito le sue specializzazioni mediche. Ha ottenuto certificazioni in diagnostica e terapia oncologica dal Gynecological Oncology Working Group e ulteriori qualifiche in patologia del collo dell'utero e colposcopia (AGCPC), uroginecologia e chirurgia ricostruttiva pelvica (AGUP) e dall'Associazione Professionale dei Ginecologi (BVF).

Nel 2019 la dottoressa Iborra ha completato con successo una specializzazione aggiuntiva in "oncologia ginecologica" e "ostetricia speciale e medicina perinatale". Dr. Baha Zengel is a general surgeon with expertise in breast, gallbladder, thyroid diseases, and hernia repairs. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. In 2004, he earned a doctorate in Basic Oncology from Dokuz Eylül University. He became an Associate Professor of General Surgery in 2014 through the Inter-University Board.

Assoc. Prof. Atakan Topçu, M.D., is a medical oncologist at Medipol University and Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital. He treats solid tumors, including lung, breast, colorectal, gastric, and neuroendocrine cancers. His work also covers targeted therapies, immunotherapy, geriatric oncology, and cancer-related malnutrition, cachexia, and sarcopenia.

He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. Recent work includes a 2024 Frontiers in Medicine study on geriatric syndromes and a 2023 Future Oncology paper on sarcopenia and anxiety in lung cancer. He has also published on the CONUT score in breast cancer and on malnutrition in HER2-negative metastatic gastric cancer.

Dr. Topçu serves on the Editorial Board of BMC Cancer. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Medical Oncology, ESMO, and the Turkish Geriatrics Society. Marcus Dukes is one of the first physicians to perform minimally invasive microwave ablation of liver and lung tumors under CT guidance.

Clinical activities

The professor heads the first and only MRI-guided FUS ablation center in the Rhine-Main region. In most cases, the procedure allows avoiding surgical intervention. Patients of the center have access to ablation for prostate cancer, bone and liver metastases, benign tumors, and treatment of uterine fibroids without surgery.

Assoc. Prof. Ayşe İrem Yasin, M.D., is a medical oncologist who specializes in solid tumors. Her clinical focus includes breast, lung, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and urologic cancers. She also treats brain and other CNS tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, head and neck cancers, adenocarcinomas, melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and cancers of unknown primary.
