Professor Salatʹs Day Hospital of Hematology and Oncology: più dettagli informazioni sulla clinica

  • Leucemia acuta e cronica (cancro del sangue);
  • Linfoma;
  • Plasmocitoma;
  • Carcinoma bronchiale (cancro ai polmoni);
  • Tumore testicolare;
  • Melanoma (cancro della pelle);
  • Tumori della testa e del collo;

  • metodi citologici;
  • Metodi citochimici;
  •  Metodi immunologici;

For the past two and a half years, Professor Dr. Salat and his team have been treating me at the Nymphenburg Day Clinic, and I can only express my admiration and gratitude. These are not easy times, and good staff is hard to find. The team is international and very dedicated to giving patients the best possible care. It's always busy, but it's also well known that the number of cancer patients has increased dramatically in recent years. Patients go where they can receive good treatment. Professor Salat is the best thing that has happened to me during my illness. His way of interacting with patients is simultaneously comforting, attentive, thorough, professional, humane, and engaging—fascinating to me... Thank you ❤️

Good clinic, but terrible doctor. Unfortunately, I cannot be satisfied and say that I receive proper care at this clinic. Once, I was given an appointment a month after my examination, and I hoped that I would already have some information. However, it turned out that the sample from my examination was insufficient, and I was simply given a new tube, even though I shouldn't have had to wait a month and could have had everything done much sooner. After the second attempt, my doctor told me he would call me the following Monday and even asked if I was available. Ultimately, there was no information for over a month. I then called the reception, where, of course, I only reached the answering machine. After a while, I received a text message saying that my doctor would contact me. However, no call followed. Two more weeks passed, and the situation repeated itself. I cannot understand how a doctor can unilaterally promise to get in touch and then not hear from me for more than a month. It's disgusting. I am a patient of Dr. Walther.

I was with Dr. Band, and after two unsuccessful chemotherapy treatments and antibody therapy, I am now a palliative care patient with cachexia and severe symptoms, as there was a massive progression of the cancer during these treatments. This is dismissed with "it can happen" and "it's always individual," and the recommended treatment is: another antibody whose side effects are treated with daily antibiotics (mind you, I have colon cancer, and my gut microbiome has already been completely destroyed by chemotherapy) and further (so far unsuccessful) chemotherapy!! Outcome uncertain because "it's always individual." How am I supposed to cope with the side effects? Shrugs. Alternatives: none. In the end, blood was drawn, only after the port operator asked, because apparently not everyone there can do it, and the one who did it seemed to have little experience. She simply didn't disinfect anything!! I did it myself before she introduced germs through my port! And to top it all off, the young receptionist, with unbelievable arrogance, tried to refuse my prescription for patient transport, arguing that it's only for patients undergoing chemotherapy. I had approval from my health insurance, and yet I still had to argue for 30 minutes! I mean, I'm clearly very... I'm frail, receiving palliative care, and have care level 5, so I rely on these trips, and they say, "No, we don't issue those!" But they're obligated to, and in my situation, I have a legal right to them! They didn't care. I paid €70 for a one-way trip there (which was completely free)! I arrived home exhausted and incredibly frustrated. This practice is purely profit-driven, making a lot of money from selling chemotherapy. You can't expect much more from them. I strongly advise against using them.

This refers to the practice and the attending physician, Dr. Band. A practice that still discriminates against people unvaccinated against COVID-19 and requires them to present a negative test result for their appointment does not deserve a recommendation. Even a year ago, I was told I MUST get vaccinated. The actual follow-up care for my cancer was barely addressed, so I'd rather forgo further support. Update on July 12, 2023: Even today, the practice's management still states in the "News" section that they require 3G vaccination due to COVID-19. Anyone who still considers this normal in July 2023 probably needs a psychotherapist in addition to their oncologist.

ask about the costs upfront. You can be surprised by astronomical invoices for the treatments forced on you. At least, this was the case with me.
