Dr. Kumar specializes in both endovascular and open surgical treatments. He focuses on treating diabetic feet, carotid disease, and venous disorders. The doctor also treats complex aortic pathology, including dissections and abdominal or thoracic aneurysms. Since he focuses on limb preservation, he offers wound care services for vascular patients.
The specialist introduced several firsts to Middle Eastern vascular surgery. He performed the first successful atherectomy in the region. Dr. Kumar also pioneered the use of drug-eluting peripheral stents in the Middle East.
He has significant experience in treating below-the-knee occlusive disease. This technique helps prevent limb loss in patients with diabetic foot complications. His practice uses modern endovascular methods to treat vascular wounds and arterial blockage.

Dr. Kumar currently leads the vascular surgery department at Dubai London Hospital. Before moving to the UAE, he served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University in New York. He also managed clinical operations as the lead surgeon for Cerner electronic systems deployment at SKMC.
