Thomas Benson is the only plastic surgeon in Brazil holding a European Board Specialist Certificate. He specializes in facial rejuvenation and was among the first to perform the Deep Plane Facelift technique in Brazil. This procedure lifts the deeper tissues of the face to create a natural appearance. Dr. Benson operates at facilities including Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and Hospital Sírio–Libanês.

Professional Background

Dr. Benson practiced as a specialist at Klinikum München Bogenhausen in Munich. This institution is one of the largest plastic surgery centers in Europe. While there, he was responsible for the continuing education of other plastic surgeons. He also worked with the emergency plastic surgery team at HC–FMUSP in Brazil. Furthermore, he participated between 2009 and 2015 as a specialist on the team of Dr. Fabio Carramaschi.

Education and Academic Achievements

The doctor completed his medical education in Germany at the University of Hamburg. He holds double Ph.D. degrees in medicine from the University of Hamburg and the University of São Paulo. His German credentials earned revalidation from the University of São Paulo (USP). He also holds a Specialist Certificate in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery granted by the German government. Additionally, he completed several clinical fellowships at medical services throughout Germany.
