Dr. Riss became a University Professor in 2010. He received the Venia Docendi Award in 2017. This award represents the highest academic qualification issued by European universities. He also conducts clinical activities within the Surgical Endocrinology working group under Professor Bruno Niederl.
Dr. Riss creates examination questions for university students to support medical education. He taught at the Empress Elizabeth School of Nursing from 2007 to 2009. He organized the 4th Biennale Congress of the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons in 2010. Additionally, he attended the 29th Annual Meeting of ACO-ASSO in 2012.
Dr. Riss attended Graduate School at CAEK in 2013. He participated in the World MEN 14th International Seminar in 2014. This seminar focuses on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia and rare endocrine tumors.
