Specialization and Surgical Approach
Prof. Speziale treats valve diseases using minimally invasive surgical methods. He is an expert in minimally invasive mitral valve repair. His practice also includes thoracic aortic surgery and pulmonary hypertension treatment. Additionally, he helps patients with coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis.
The doctor performs both On and Off Pump myocardial revascularization. This approach allows heart surgery without stopping the heart in specific cases. He also treats aortic valve insufficiency. Furthermore, he works at the Cardiological Clinical Institute (ICC) and San Carlo di Nancy Hospital in Rome.

He led National Research Council projects on myocardial infarction and coronary bypass technologies. These projects included new technologies for cardiopulmonary and normothermic bypass.
