He is the first in South Korea to have successfully performed the breast conserving surgery and has authored a unique stomach cancer surgery that reduces the risk of gastroesophageal reflux disease. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of breast cancer and a member of the Korean Society of Cancer Prevention and the Korean Cancer Association.
