Attualmente è presidente del comitato scientifico dell'European Hip Society e della Società Italiana dell'Anca, nonché membro del comitato esecutivo di EFORT, del comitato internazionale della American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons e del comitato scientifico del Registro Italiano delle Artroplastiche.

È autore e coautore di 130 articoli pubblicati su riviste nazionali e internazionali, nonché specialista e relatore invitato in oltre 500 congressi in Italia e all'estero.
