I feel I was in very capable hands

Mexico offers a full range of uterine fibroid treatments. These include minimally invasive techniques like laparoscopic and hysteroscopic myomectomy. Advanced options feature robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci system. Major medical hubs include Mexico City, Cancun, and Mexicali. Many facilities hold JCI or CSG accreditation.

  • Myomectomy: Removes fibroids while preserving the uterus for future fertility.
  • Robotic surgery: Employs Da Vinci systems for high precision in complex cases.
  • Hysterectomy: Provides a permanent solution through total removal of the uterus.
  • Minimally invasive: Uses small incisions or natural openings for faster recovery times.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Mexico is a major hub for gynecological surgery. Dr. Ireri Asteinza in Mexico City treats 47,000 patients every year. This high volume often leads to better surgical outcomes. Clinics near the US border offer specialized boutique care. Hospital de la Familia in Mexicali provides private rooms for international patients. These clinics maintain ISO and CSG standards while staying accessible.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that medical teams demonstrate a high level of expertise. It is important to confirm pre-operative imaging fits the chosen procedure. Many describe the experience as professional with successful clinical outcomes.

Will treating my fibroids in Mexico affect my ability to get pregnant?

Treating fibroids in Mexico can preserve or improve your fertility through advanced surgical techniques. Procedures like myomectomy remove fibroids while keeping the uterus intact. Success rates for spontaneous conception reach 77% after this surgery. Medical protocols typically require healing for 3 to 12 months.

  • Fertility preservation: Myomectomy is the preferred gold-standard treatment for maintaining future pregnancy potential.
  • Surgical approaches: Surgeons utilize Da Vinci robotic, laparoscopic, or hysteroscopic methods for precise removal.
  • Conception success: Research shows 77% of patients with previous infertility conceived after myomectomy.
  • Delivery considerations: Specialists may recommend C-sections to protect the uterine wall during future labor.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Mexico is a major hub for fertility-integrated gynecology, serving over 5,000 international patients annually. Data shows that clinics like Advanced Fertility Center Cancun and Dr. Ireri Asteinza Clinic specialize in reproductive biology. Choosing a gynecologist who is also a certified reproductive specialist is crucial. For example, Hospital Cyntar Tijuana holds both JCI and ISO 9001:2015 certifications. It also maintains 30+ years of experience. This combination of global accreditation and high patient volume often leads to refined care pathways for complex gynaecological surgeries.
